Knysna 440 & 500

Seventy one of this evergreen 440 were built and now 15 so far of her larger sister the 480 & 500. Both are comfortable and the MK II version was one of fastest cruising cats in her class, winning the Cape to Rio Race cat division in 2000, having managed a close second previously. She easily manages over 200 miles / day in tradewind conditions. The boat has been used extensively in the Caribbean as a charter boat, and many have world cruised in private hands. This design has been continuously updated over the years, now the MK V version, the 500 being a completely new boat with more length, beam, moulded depth, and wider hulls and a bigger rig. All are built to EU RC compliance.
